For those wanting  authentic French markets, Uzes will certainly not disappoint. There are two markets in Uzes,  the smaller one being on a Wednesday (mainly food) and the large market on a Saturday which sells everything. You will find that each town/village has a set day for its market.

FABULOUS FOOD AND WINE
 
There are so many fabulous restaurants and cafe's in Uzes and the  surrounding area it is difficult to know where to start. Whether it is the dressings they use or the bread that they serve with the food just a simple salad is delicious.  Whether you want a Plat du Jour for 10 euros a pizza or a Michelin restaurant,  Uzes can offer you the choice. There are many local vineyards worth visiting where you can sample the wine and take it home. Or you can travel further afield to Chateauneuf du Pape and visit the vineyards.
